Yes, this movie is historically inaccurate, but anyone using a movie to learn history deserves to be mislead. These are the same people that believe chain letters. "Saving Private Ryan" is one of those well-meaning movies you hate to give a bad review, but sadly this movie is notable only for its opening 25 minutes of action as the American forces storm Omaha Beach amid blazing machine-gun fire on D-Day.
