Good Use of "Time."

Could not get into the new Woody Allen film, so we took a chance on Safety Not Guaranteed. It is not a "funny" film, but it has a dark comic vibe that is captivating. You do end up caring about the main characters--each of whom has their own issues with "time"--past, present, or future. The lead, Aubrey Plaza, holds it together with amazing acting strength for such a young actor--those eyes of hers dominate the screen. One minute she is quite lovely and the next she morphs into someone awkward and plain. Fascinating to watch. The ending left me a bit unsettled and wanting more--but as the movie promises the audience from the beginning--Safety Not Guaranteed!
