Are you frickin' kidding me? This movie was not disturbing, nor deserving in any way, of an NC-17 rating. I was expecting so much action or gore, considering what you guys have written about this movie, but I must tell you...this movie is poor even as a B-film. The story really has no direction, the acting is not very good, even for Russell Crowe. Those that are saying that this was his defining film, are nuts. Try a movie like Cinderella man or The Insider, to see Crowe's best work.

As for gore/shock value...there was none. I mean, we all expect a rag-tag group of Nazi-wannabes to tear some serious stuff up, right? Well, they don't and only one person gets killed from their "rage". The story has no direction to it, no flow...the movie hopelessly tries to tie some background "family" issues into itself, but all you're left with, is a WHY? Absolutely horrible eye for drama.

So basically, I sat and watched a movie about nothing, heading nowhere, and if I was seeing this in a theatre, I'd demand my money back. Take my opinion for what it's worth, but I think you'll see the truth.
