Rocky epitomizes what is great about America. We may be down, sometimes, but we're never out. Rocky is the eternal underdog who just begs for his one big chance. When he finally gets it, he doesn't waste it. The training sequences are fantastic. …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I'm currently watching the Rocky marathon on TCM.
"Rocky" was simply the finest of the bunch. The morale is genuine and encourages us not to give up even when the odds are against us.

This is perhaps one of the finest fictional stories ever told. It was the first adult movie I ever begged my mom to take me to (back in 1976).
