This movie was totally entertaining. My boyfriend and i went on a rainy saturday afternoon and didn't know what to expect. The opening scene launches right into a musical number so since i have never been a fan of musicals i wasn't sure. But it pretty much immediatley began to charm you and everyone in the film performed so extremely well. It was campy yes, and funny for sure. And there were some outrageous moments that you just have to see, like the duet between alec baldwin and russell brand. I mean this movie was totally entertaining and everyone in the cast did a remarkable job. I could have done without the buttless chaps scene by tom cruise but if you see how well he performed the disillusioned drunken rock god all rock gods of the past had to rejoice. All in all i really enjoyed watching this.
