I loved this movie. It may be my new favorite Holiday movie. Some of the reviewers here don't "get" some of the characters, like the differences in this Santa Claus from what they have built up in their mind, but a lot of his traits come from the older mythologies about him, rather than the modern 'Claus'.
In any case, this movie is all about childhood and believing, and how the beliefs of childhood can be lost. The artwork is _amazing_. This is one movie that I really enjoyed seeing in 3D and that I think needed 3D for the best effects. I don't say that very often, but it used 3D well.
Go with an open mind, open heart and try to remember the sense of the wonder of childhood... or perhaps, be reminded of it.
