Rise of the Guardians has amazingly stunning pictures, a well-composed score - and is a fresh idea (something that I don't see often anymore).
DreamWorks tops "How to train your Dragon" with the crystal clear animation - especially the many night scenes are something that I've never seen in an animation movie before.
The score rivals any famous movie and has this certain something that when a few notes are played, one recognizes what movie it is. Something hard to do as too many movies have pretty much the same back-ground soundtrack.
The idea of putting the Easter bunny and Santa Claus together is really new on the big screen. The elves remind me a little bit of some 20th Century FOX evil mastermind helpers, but they still work in the Santa Claus universe...
I certainly recommend seeing this movie, especially during this season.
