I remember seeing this movie on TV when I was small and was completely scared yet I still wanted to watch it. I watched it again and it's been one of my favorite movies ever! The movie is dark, original, and pure genius! What makes it so special in my opinion is that it deviates from the norm and tiresome cliche stories and characters. It really inspires imagination! Oh yeah, and Fairuza was great! How many movies like this have you ever seen? The only other movie that reminds me of this one is Pan's Labyrinth which was also a great movie. Return to Oz is probably one of the few Disney films I actually like.
