Rent(2005)- User Reviews

I wish that I had read the reviews before paying to see this movie. How often can you find a movie with a B+ Viewers rating with so many F's.
I have to wonder about the fans of this movie who gave it an A+ and 'Best Movie Ever' reviews. The characters had no redeeming qualities and the acting was rather poor. I suppose that anyone who has lost a friend or a loved one to AIDS would be sympathethic but enough is enough. I think that many people will not see this film because of the fact that it is a musical but I truly believe that if all of America went to this movie and scored a review that it would be a c-. Roger Ebert was kind to give this a B- ... I suppose that he did not was to piss off his fans who might be passionate about this movie.
