Rent(2005)- User Reviews

When I saw the previews for this movie, I immediatley booked the release date because I could not wait to see this movie. Every time I saw the preview on television, I nearly jumped out of my seat wanting to see it so badly, and I would sing 525,600 minutes for hours afterwards. So when the time came to actually see the movie, I was thrilled. The opening was amazing and I had chill bumps listening to the actors perform, and I thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 minutes. After that, I HATED it! Looking from an unbiased view, I saw a pretty good movie with incredible acting/singing(major props to the caster) and it was an overall good work. But focusing on the storyline, I was appalled. I did not like the themes or any of the things they did. If someone were to ask me whether or not to see the movie, I would most likely tell them it wasn't good and not to see it, but truly being respectful, it was a good work--just not what I expected at all.
