Rent, the musical is one of my favorites of all time; therefore I was highly anticipating the release of the movie. More over, when I read most of the original cast would reprise their roles again I knew the movie would be a success. I saw the original cast on Broadway and to this day...the best cast I have ever seen-and I've grown up with Broadway! I am glad to say I was not disappointed-the adaptation from the stage to the screen was amazing! Once again the cast, as well did a phenomenal job! The music is some of the best you will find and the passion the actors portray I think is the best you will find! Just one caution-I saw the movie on opening night, which brought a theater full of teenagers and some that walked out on the movie. Therefore, if you don't know the story and music of Rent-possibly research it before you buy your ticket. The story is heart wrenching and takes a mature person to understand. If you go into the movie thinking it's just another love story, it is not.
