Don't Judge People By Their Color: My Remember the Titans Review
Walt Disney decides to step away from animation for a little to make a movie about football and racism. How did they do? Well, I personally thought it was pretty good, Denzel Washington does a marvelous job, as always, as Coach Boone, who struggles to put together a football team because no get along because of their skin color. At first I wasn't sure if we were supposed to like Coach Boone because it seemed as that he took another coaches job, and was thinking, "should I like him or not" I was just not sure. Then later in the film Coach Boone and the other coach whos name I can't remember played by Will Patton team up and gives me a clear vision of whats going on and that made the movie much more enjoyable. In the end the acting was great, the story was good but too simple for real life events, things in this film seemed too simple wishing life was that simple. In a rating between 1-10 Remember the Titans deserves a 7 in my opinion. Not the greatest sport film, my favorite being the Longest Yard, but its up there.
