Red Dawn(2012)- User Reviews

I took my son this morning to see this movie. We had watched the first one a couple weeks back so he could have an idea of what it was about. He had seen the first one ages ago and could not remember. He really enjoyed the first one. We were surprised and even impressed with this one. What people are not taking into consideration is that though most of the original characters are in this movie there are new ones; that the script had to be changed to meet the things going on now rather than the past; there were parts of the storyline that did remain the same; and finally the basic thing was that the movie was about a group of kids who went up against the odds of an army from foreign soil coming in to take out the USA. In our opinions, this movie did well. My son gives it a rank of 4 our of 5 starts while giving the original a 4.5 stars. He still loved it. It was a good get away from reality for a couple hours movie.
