Red Dawn(2012)- User Reviews

I had been a little skeptical that this movie would even come close to the original-- we all know how Hollywood tends to screw up the classics these days-- but I was very glad that while it wasn't the same line for line, or in the plot twists, they definitely got the right spirit down to match the first one. I wasn't too thrilled with the ending (like the last two or three minutes of it), but I found it "true-to-form" and very enjoyable! And after having kids that used to watch "Drake and Josh" all the time, I'm REALLLLLLLY glad and very impressed that Josh Peck portrayed his role as far from "kid-friendly" as anyone could! WAY TO STEP UP AND BE A MAN, JOSH!!!
I'd definitely... no, DEFINITELY shell out the $10 to see it again. It's actually hard for me to decide which was better between the original and the reboot. I'm glad Hollywood didn't screw it up, and may have a winner here.
