I saw the original and it rocked. This one looks like just as good. With that crazy N. Korean leader whack-o, it's not unrealistic that they could try something like this. Russia today, no, but China or N. Korea yes.
I wonder when they will make a realistic movie about a 2nd us revolution, and specifically by the gov't being taken-over by a bunch of crazy people, as in political coup of fascist leaders. It would satisfy the fear some have that it "might" happen, and maybe help to ease fears in America. Plus it would be kind of like the worst horror movie ever, happening on the screen in front of us. Could be good, if done well, with a believable story-line behind it. It wouldn't be the 1st time hollywood came to the aid to quell public fears in tough/scary times.
