Red Dawn(2012)- User Reviews

Initially i liked this remake okay..... but just okay. The original was a great movie with Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, C. Thomas Howell, Jennifer Grey, and Lea Thompson --- holy cow what a cast. The new cast, while not quite as stunning (the original cast were all just beginnin too) of Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hucherson, Adrianne Palicki, Isabel Lucas, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan,,, does a decent job.
The plot stays close to the original but just like the cast doesn't quite have the impact of the original. It might have tho, and the cast might have come across more powerfully, if only they could hold the camera steady. Instead you are constantly on the verge of motion sickness every time there is an action scene. It is so bad in one scene you can not tell who has the knife.
How many movies have to be ruined by this stupid technique of bouncing the camera around. Would some one please tell Hollywood to stop.

Please,, does anyone like the bouncing camera??????

Rent the original movie, and then see this one as a matinee.
