If you liked the original 1984 version, you will not leave disapointed. I was really going in with low expectations since most of the redux's are complete garbage, but this one was pretty good.
I find it funny some of the lefties are leaving reviews that it unreal, could never happen, way out there, but still sit and watch reality TV and call that real. It is entertainment, just the same, leave it at that. And for those of us who grew up reading Alas Babylon by Pat Frank as required reading or remember the duck and cover drills, we can relate.
It is pretty well done and worth seeing in the theater and as long as you are not living so far on the left watching The Hills or other not so reality shows and trying to judge against this, stay home. If you are a true realist, you can relate and enjoy the movie. The original Red Dawn is a little more believable, but no where does this movie try to portray "Reality."
