What a #$%$ remake, I was hoping for an UPDATED version of the original. This movie tries too hard to be epic and fail to do so with the cast and pacing. Chris's acting is #$%$ (like most of his movies), he (the character) comes off as an MACHO douch-beg …more»1 of 4 people found this review helpful-

Initially i liked this remake okay..... but just okay. The original was a great movie with Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, C. Thomas Howell, Jennifer Grey, and Lea Thompson --- holy cow what a cast. The new cast, while not quite as stunning (the original …more»1 of 3 people found this review helpful-

I love the original red dawn, back in the 80s with the great cast. You could never make it better than the classic. I went to see the new red dawn on Thanksgiving and I really liked it. I see alot of critics with there comments about how terrible it was …more»7 of 7 people found this review helpful-

Being a big fan of the original I went. The first one had an all star 80s cast while this one had the guy from Thor and a bunch of lame actors. Ridiculous storyline, North Korea? Really? The first one was unbelievable but at least there was some explanation …more»0 of 2 people found this review helpful-

It was good but the ending seemed very anti-climatic compared to the original. I don't know if they were leaving opn the possibility of a sequel but it is not going to happen. There was a couple surprises, some things I didn't expect and there …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

This was cheezy from the start. There was bad acting all around.I did not recognize any of the actors or actresses A not realistic script led to predicable moments I had seen the original Red Dawn and thought there was no reason to remake or even rename..If …more»1 of 2 people found this review helpful-

I went into this movie not expecting a whole lot considering the first movie wasn't all that great...though a cult classic with some. I was entertained and wasn't bored and felt it was a decent attempt. My husband dragged me to it and I acquiesced …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful
