Rain Man(1988)- User Reviews

Rain Man is an sometimes depressing but in the end joyful story. Charly (Tom Cruise) plays a self-center man interested in money, power, and himself using everybody to get his desires. When his father dies he finds out that he has been excluded from his fathers inheiritence and also that he has a older autistic bother (Dustin Hoffman) who's been living in a instution for most of his life. Charly tricks Raymond into going with him to L.A. in hopes of getting the inheiritence but because of Raymond fear of planes they go by car which will take serveral days. All along this road trip Chaly begins to see the virtues he understands but doesn't do when he sees Raymond who knows the vitues but doesn't understand them. This story of redemption and brotherly love will tear ones heart out and is strongly recommended.
