Pumping Iron(1977)- Production Details

In this documentary, a group of men are followed as they train for the Mr. Olympia contest. Arnold Schwarzenegger had won the title the six previous years and was training for his seventh win during the filming. Schwartzenegger's burgeoning fame is apparent throughout the film, as when one of his competitors, future actor Lou Ferrigno, is seen enduring the chants of "Arnold! Arnold"! as he performs the difficult weight lifting challenge.
