Its not everyone's cup of tea if they just waited for the Alien (last few minutes of the film). Its because the film is not about the xenomorph. Its not even on LV426 so the derelict spacecraft saw in Alien was not the one in this flick. This is in LV223. Its strangely scary but not because of the special effect creatures on screen and it lacks suspense from the alien movie... But really the strange thing is what's scary I think, is the android David (go see the movie). Michael Fassbender did a fantastic portrayal of the android... makes Ash and Bishop model pales in comparision.
