This movie has great visual effects, and a wonderful dark feel, with ominous special effects. But... if you're a techno nerd like me - and I know many of this movie's potential fans are - the technical inconsistencies are very distracting.
Technically it is full of holes around it's own premises. I'm not talking about breaking the rules of our universe, but breaking the rules of its own fictionally created universe.
I can't highlight the examples without giving away the plot, but I noticed 3 particularly bad inconsistencies around key premises, and honestly, they make the story seem stupid. With just a little help technically, it could have come off as quite smart.
A shame really. A good idea spoiled.
