just saw the movie.I thought superbad came out years ago.... wait a minute all they did was change the name, but seriously it's just a stupid movie about some teenagers who arent cool(just like in every party movie) and they throw a big party which goes bad. dazed and confused and superbad are party movies that are a lot better than this. Give me a camcorder, a lot of extras and tea for the fake beer I could have made this movie. It had some cool parts in it but for the most part it was terrible.

Seriously, does Yahoo have to let complete retards write reviews?

I think you have insulted everyone who has mental retardation, lol. The problem is that until they actually write it and hit post, there is no way of telling who are retards.

And yet you come to the reviews page to turdify a movie you are not going to see? What, what, what?

I'm wondering how many of these "reviewers" are paid to write in 5 star reviews in order to get the ratings up.

      Sounds like easy money

Considering the budget of the movie, that's highly unlikely.

Parties can get out of hand. I was watching this movie and remembered when I saw a kid pull a hallway chandelier right out of the ceiling.

creativity? Story development? camera work??? You got to be kidding me... I left the room in the middle of the movie. That bad it was
    • Bb 2 months ago
To interpret that to English, Wendy meant to write the following: "Creativity? Story development? Camera work? You've got to be kidding me. I left the room in the middle of the movie. That's how bad it was."

No kidding, I can't understand why I didn't get up and leave too. It was that bad.

The movie's milieu is straight from the new form of cool, hipster. The plot revolves around a lonely boy who gets talked into throwing a big party to impress people and hopefully get the girl he has a big crush on. The camera style is called found footage. Now that your questions of creativity, story development, and camera work are answered I have some questions for you. Why did you go to see this movie? What did you think you were going to see based on a trailer that contained no jokes and only showed a riot like party set to dance music? Seriously, are you that bad a media consumer that you don't even know what kind of product you just paid for?

    Hi Carol,
Next time you are gonna write a critique on something you call dumb, make sure to check your spelling. You use "throw" a big party, not THROUGH. Just made yourself look pretty dumb!!! Have a nice day party pooper!!!

A stupid #$%$ movie about an over the top party and how idiotic college types can be. Pretty sure it can be done without making a crap movie about it. And pretty sure, the only people who will enjoy this are 17-23 year olds, the rest of us have better things to do, and maybe (or hopefully) a tad more respect for the home their parents LET them live in.

The movie was insane. The party was epic. I didn't expect much from the movie but it turned out to be one of the most entertaining movies I seen in years. People just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. Every movie doesn't have to be a Oscar.

    FUCKING AGREE.

It must be so nice, that you having something less-than-or-equal-to a college degree, can be able to properly asses the attitudes, behaviors, and reactions from a large group of people with such accuracy, and to your favor as well.

Why am I even typing this? You probably don't understand words with more than 2 syllables. Yes, ALL of us who didn't like it were biased. We're such losers that our idea of a fun time is drinking tea and talking about international affairs. Ugh, go back to your mindless little corner away from the real world before you hurt yourself.

you saying the hangover wasn't a funny movie and then giving this 5 stars tells one you are either an idiot who knows nothing about movies or you are paid off by the studio!

The reviews aside, there is an excellent movie out there, made about 12 years ago, called "Project X", that starred Matthew Broderick and Helen Hunt. THAT movie is worth 5 stars. This movie is worth ZERO stars. Who gives a rats#$%$ about a bunch of college/high school students who want to make a name for themselves via a big-bash party (like we have never heard or seen them before, right?)? Bad enough that most law agencies are on the look-out for college style parties that get out of hand, and the taxpayers end up paying for the parents 'mistakes' (aka kids gone wild with no discipline, respect or honor mostly from poor and stupid parenting). I find anyone making movies about these retards 'just to make a name for themselves' to be a total lack of wit and humor, and only looking to promote perverted nudity, illegal activities, and drugs. Anyone who gives this film a star above a 1 is obviously being paid to do so.

Just so everyone knows, it is spelled AWESOME! not awsome or awsom or any other variation. Needless to say i have a hard time taking someones opinion of a 5 star movie that can't spell a two syllable word.
