Precious(2009)- User Reviews

I was hesitant about seeing this film. I thought it would be a difficult and ultimately depressing film. It was difficult, but it was not depressing.

This powerful film rings true. It exposes a side of our society that we'd rather not face, but it is not preachy or even political. The performances are great, and you really care about these people and this story. Somehow it manages to not be a downer.
