Ponyo(2009)- User Reviews

As an operatic aria plays in the background of the colorful cartoon,a little boy finds a small sea creature with a face of a girl stuck inside a glass jar as he's playing at the sea side of his home. He puts it in a pail and then carts it off to school but a tidal wave blasts onto shore and the fishy face sea creature is returned to her family under the water. The creature wishes for legs and then returns to earth walking on water to the amazement of the little boy. A storm brews and the mother leaves the two kids at home alone in the middle of the night and drives like a crazy woman back to work to save her staff.What???
Right away one gets the sense that there is lack of good judgment among the adults in the movie,ie. mother has temper tantrums,drives in a strom,puts kids in danger,etc.
Im sure the movie is based on someone's lack of imagination as well.
