More than 70 years after its original release, Pinocchio still delivers its magic and morals to the world.
A puppet maker makes a wish on the Evening Star (which is actually Venus BTW) to make Pinocchio a real boy. So that's where that Disney song comes from! Then a couple of adventures later, Pinocchio is forced to save his father from the belly of a giant whale.
Although a compelling story, by today's standards the movie is a little slow. There are some highly memorable scenes, (The nose growing, The becoming of a Jackass) and scary moments. I wouldn't blame parents for holding this movie back until their kids turned at least 5.
If you've never seen it, check it out for yourselves. Original Disney Magic.
