Ah, this movie is so sad I felt so sorry for Winslow. It's really a great movie!
Ok here goes...
Basically, Winslow is very naive and thinks Swan "forgot" to get back to him after taking ALL his music. Little does Winslow know that Swan has STOLEN his music and fraudulently calling it his own and will use the song for his Swan Paradise opening.
Poor Winslow gets sabotaged, his teeth get pulled out in prison and after ascaping he gets half his face deformed by a record making machine while he tries to get back at Swan. (What's amazing is that all this stuff happens to Winslow yet there's so much comedy while it's happening its like you're crying and laughing all at once)
Ok, so now Winslow needs to hide his hideous face and thus he dresses up as a phantom (you know mask, black cape and all). Then he signs a contract making a truce with Swan as Swan promises him recognition since he has no where else to go (being deformed and all)...Ok if you liked this so far you'll like the rest of it. So go rent it or something, it's really fun to watch.
