Down in the depths, in a diesel fed underwater battleship,a russian ship's captain's past and his technologial intelligence are compromised by a rouge crew of kgb agents. Their presence and agressive behavior just might spark a WW3 event in the open ocean in the Pacific.
The movie is based on true events during the cold war circa 1968 and is quite a suspenseful power house related in claustrophobic conditions in close quarters at sea and changes in command at the drop of a swig of rum.
Harris and David are the two combatants aboard the phantom sub and do the movie terse and tense justice.
Grade C+ .
