Persepolis(2007)- User Reviews

The horrors of war in a Iran are seen through a young girls eyes in Persepolis. Persepolis is about a young girl named Marjane Satrapi whom flees Iran to begin a new lie. We watch her grow up, deal with the problems teens do like falling in love and of course rebellion. But we watch her fall and finally learn how to stand up and be the best person she can be. For lack of a better word Persepolis is epic, and that may be the only flaw it has. With a little over an hour and a half running time, there's only so much that can be put in the film without coming off as rushed. The acting is sensational and we truly do get a feel for what the character trying to convey. Despite the minor nitpick regarding time, Persepolis is definitely recommended.
