What happens when parents are absent? See this movie, easily FIVE stars. Emma Watson and Logan Lerman are very good in their roles. Ezra Miller plays a difficult part about being a young gay teen in an intolerant environment. In addition to Ezra's issues, both of the other two main characters have undergone sexual abuse that has scarred them.
So, we see drugs, alcohol and hormones in rage in these youngsters coming of age without parental supervision. Seems to me, a spot on commentary about American life. The nice part is that it has a happy ending. BRAVO
