Ok first things first. Beginning: Fine. Didnt attach to the book 100% nor not at all. I'm fine with that. Right after that: Complete mess. Chris Columbus has dissapointed me. He did a great job with the first 2 Harry Potter movies. What happened Chris?? There was no Clarisse, nor Ares. And they fought with Hades and made him the actual villian while ARES was the actual villian. Now another thing that's really horrible is that the actors are played by 17 years old... and if you read the book they're supposed to be 12 (not including Grover since he's 28 in saytr years) Percy is supposed to be 12 in the book but in the movie they freakin steal a car and he's driving it. Logan Lerman was bron in 1992 and they filmed this in 2009. Do the Math. He was 17 when they filmed this. And they're already starting to film "Sea of Monsters" and logan lerman is 20 now playing a 13 year old. And now they're just going to take this and make it 10x worse. I'm currently reading the 5th book. And i have to say it's the 2nd best series i've ever read. (1st is Harry Potter) but at the same time I LOVE and i mean I love movies. I want to be a movie director when i'm a lot older. and if i ever get the chance i'd like to remake this movie i'd totally take that chance. Not go 100% by the book but at the same time not make it 10% of the book (such as this movie) like for example. something a simple as taking the Barbra walters interview with percy's step dad. No big deal right? instead with this they like took out the whole actual villian. Please comment if you think i should direct the film in the future. I'd love to make it 10x better when i'm older. I'm currently making short films of my own.
