i saw the trailer for this movie before descent 2. i know it was going to be mediocre because of what the trailer came before but my roommate fixated on it so we went and rented it.
the movie was presented in the trailer like a horror film. It is not, its a psych-thriller and it is not horrific at all.

Cillian Murphy does an excellent acting job, but the movie itself really has no true suspense. I realized with ten minutes left in the movie that he would never be caught, either as a cross dresser or as a murderer. His dominant personality tried to effectively kill him off or hide him so that she could live her own life. The pro/baby momma was not nearly as interesting as the trailer leads one to believe. this movie is a visually striking character study but nothing much else. there are at least two trailers for this film. one for a horror/thriller on for a deep emotional train ride. it's pretty boring if what you expect is something more horror filled. it's a shame that lionsgate felt the need to trick people into viewing this film instead of relying on the story and actors. all in all a let down for both genre's as far as i'm concerned.
