Harrison Ford stars as Ex-CIA analyst John Patrick Ryan who is in England giving a speech on the history of naval warfare, breaks up an assignation attempt on the royal family. In the break up of the terrorist attack, Ryan kills two terrorists one of them is the younger brother of the man who survived and captured in the ordeal. The terrorists, Sean Miller escapes prison and now has a vendetta against Ryan, and will stop at nothing to exact his revenge against Ryan and his family.
In my opinion Harrison Ford is one of those few actors that can actually make a movie better. With Patriot Games this is no exception. The second installment of the best selling novel by Tom Clancy, had to be readjusted for the time. One Harrison Ford being older then Alec Baldwin so the movie had to appear it came after The Hunt For Red October, which was opposite in the books. What makes this movie work is Harrison Ford’s passion on screen, like most of his movies, he makes you believe he is that character and wants you to care about that character. Thus making this movie a little more believable. What also works for this movie is the direction and visuals director Phillip Noyce brings to the plate. Overall you will find yourself rooting for Ford and enjoying this wonderful action movie that gets a solid A rating.
