It is good to see a family slapstick done well. Never really a Billy Crystal fan, but he did an awesome job as the Grandpa and Bette is always having fun no matter what she does. I believe they did a great job on this movie while keeping it PG and you could see where they cut the parts that would have inked it towards a PG13. Good job with the story, the actors came out and we got to know them pretty well by the end of the movie.
Yes, it is fairly predictable, but fun. The jokes were not stale and the story line was fairly fresh. I have to say it is the most enjoyable and refreshing movie I have seen in the last few months and not a single "F" Bomb that seems to find it's way in every movie today.
We saw this on the same day as "This is 40," and have to say it is far more rewarding to laugh at well thought out clean humor than it is with the crude humor that most of the other movies go for. Not a bad movie for date night, or to take the family to.
