Personally, I thought it was pretty cool. There were less than 20 people in there. Maybe eight or nine kids were under 10 years old. Take into consideration that the creators of "Coraline" made this flick. "Coraline", I thought, was scary for a kid. This one is scary as well. This is not a "happy-go-lucky" movie like "Ice Age" or "Cars", it's a tad more dreary and adult. Especially with sound effects and music. Also take into consideration that there is teen language in it. There was one person who left, 15 minutes in, after a "fat joke" with possibly insulting language. And another two who left, about 20 minutes in, because of how scary it was. If you are parents who are protective of "new words" for your children, I suggest watching the movie yourself first. Then you will know whether you want your child to watch it. Don't be ignorant movie goers who get all #$%$ off because they did not do any research on the movie before hand. Follow the arrow and you will find them.
