Its like someone came up with an idea of doing a spoof documentary about the main character trying to figure out what love is and if she would ever have it. It probably sounded like a good idea but the filmmakers had no idea what to do from there. They just follow her around as she asks random people about love in various states. The responses are not enlightening and are not funny. If it was trying to be a comedy it did not work at all. Even the questions she asks were not very interesting she just sort of giggles and and asks random uninteresting questions. The love story aspect of Charlene Yi and Michael Cera is disappointing as well, like two young shy and awkward teens not knowing what to say each other while on a date at a coffee shop. I looked this up and worldwide it only grossed a paltry $1,296,971. It seemed very amateurish and lacked direction like an hour and half You Tube video by a teenage girl about love. Better planning, a better script, and better dialogue could have made this more interesting. The only thing semi-interesting were the puppets. I honestly was surprised how lackluster and boring it was. Seriously while watching I was thinking that if I just walked around NYC or Las Vegas with a camcorder I could have come up with a more entertaining and interesting piece of work.
