Oz: The Great and Powerful(2013)- User Reviews

This movie had great potential to put a new twist on the classic original, and failed miserably. James Franco is smug and unlikeable, Mila Kunis is just plain awful, and Rachel Wiecz is the only small spark of human talent in the film. When the best acting job in a movie is a monkey, you know you've got problems. The black and white start went way too long, and halfway through the film, I was hoping the lion would save us and devour the stars. I would have rather seen one of the great pre-Oscar movies (Lincoln, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty) a second time than waste my time with this one. Not worth even one star.
