Sober & Loved It!

I seen some questionable stoners, acid trippers and various brands of truly unique people at this movie. It was almost like I entered OZ, the moment I walked into the theater. However, if I was 18-19, maybe I would of dropped a hit or two and went to see this visually stunning eye candy movie. But since I'm considered a middle-aged old head now these days, I'm 33. I went sober and took my two sons, a 22 month old, and a 3 1/2 year old with myself and my wife. My youngest son didn't make it longer than 10mins into the movie before he had a major embarrassing fit, which led my poor wife to have to leave the theater with him. My oldest son and I remained seated with our retro fit 3D glasses on and we had blast! In the end, I felt the visual effects were stunning and the storyline proved to be a great upgrade from the original classic. The only problem I foreseen was my oldest son, who will be four in September, seemed a little scared when the green wicked witch of the west appeared. I comforted him like any good dad would do and eventually a few giggles let loose and he began singing: "Spider-Man, Spider-Man, radioactive Spider-Man!" It was if he felt Spider-Man needed to come save the day..lol. Either way, I had a great time. I felt it was a great adult or could be a great family oriented movie if you decide to take a late staged three-old.
