I am truly puzzled by bad reviews. I tend to be critical of movies in general, especially ones that are based on a classic. How could this movie have been done better? It was beautiful, creative, had a good message, good looking witches . . . I loved it.
My whole family loved it. I'm in my 50s, my wife in her 40s and my kids range from 6 to 11. We all had a great time.
The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies and this movie is the first to do a decent job with Oz since 1939. I will see any sequel in a heartbeat.
