I missed this movie but heard it was a very good movie....I have been through a time when I needed an abortion but it was illegal so I was unable to get one and I gave my other three kids up because of the shame of being pregnant out of wedlock so I am still not sure I am pro or con on the idea I know the baby I gave up made some other people happy but in turn I gave up my life....I guess thats all I have to say on abortion

Yes the movie at times does stretch the imagination and probably is somewhat unrealistic at times but then it is is a movie not a documentary. plus one could say the same the same thing about most of the movies out there.

I have seen the movie twice, and I found it awesome. The person writing this review obviously has never been a parent. Being the father of two premies, I can definitely relate to the experience portrayed by the father. The mannerisms of the daughter are very similar to my eldest that will turn 31, this summer.

It was a lot better than I thought it would be.

This movie sounds like a must see for anyone considering an abortion to show the consequences it could bring. hopefully this would prevent them from doing it!

I read Gianna Jessen's book several years ago & again last year. (I haven't been able to see October Baby, yet.) Her biography is an awesome testimony to how much God loves every one of us! It makes me think of Genesis 50:20 (NIV) which says, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” The Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV) "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." The word also says in Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV) “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” If people want to refer to this as "propaganda", I KNOW God has a purpose in it. To bring more lost souls to her story & ultimately, His arms! ~ My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you— I whom you have delivered. Psalm 71:23

Marie obviously doesn't know this is based off a true story.

Marie does know what they SAY the movie is based on but naive people believe anything they want to...Ever heard of making money? Do what ever it takes Like for instance: lie. Again, why bother other people with your baggage and call it a movie. It's badly written, acted and probably not true...

All the people who give this movie a one star review have obvious axes to grind against Christians and Pro-Life people. They all bash right-wing fundamentalists like that is what the movie was about. What movie did they see? Seems to me that this movie was a pain in their conscience. You will have a hard time watching this movie and feeling good about abortion, that is true... but that's the only thing true about all the bad reviews put together.

I find it interesting that all of the one-star reviews are written by 1) women whose profiles only have one name and 2) those profiles are all marked as "private." I am somewhat suspicious that "Sarah," "Lisa," "Ms. Pathetic," and whatever other name was used are all the same sad, angry person. I hope you can get the healing you need - I know it must hurt really bad. God believes in you, even if you claim not to believe in Him. I'll be praying for you.

What about the licensed abortion clinic in PA that the doctor is now in jail for the murder of some of the mothers not to mention the botched partial birth abortions he performed with scissors?!

Yes Hitler believed in Eugenics as does Margret Sanger founder of Planned Parenthood ..... Ever wonder why abortion clinics are located in ''Minority Neighborhood''........hmmm

I know of a lady who survived two botched attempts of being aborted and was concieved from an abusive relationship to her biological mother. By some miracle she survived and she asked a very simple question; does she deserve the death penalty.
Despite health problems because of the botched attempts, she is one of the most positive people to be around because she is very grateful for having been given life and has forgiven her biological mother. Much like the character in this movie.

We saw this movie with friends while visiting in Illinois. Unfortunately, it was not shown at any theaters in South Dakota. Powerful movie. I'm hoping that when it is released on DVD we'll be able to get the churches in the area to sponsor the rights to show it to the public. As a woman who grew up with her mom's stories of how she tried to cause a miscarriage when she was pg with me but was unsuccessful and the only reason she didn't get an abortion was because it was illegal and she was scared to do it, the forgiveness component of this movie was overwhelmingly powerful.

    Dear Ms. Pathetic,
this is not to offend you; but hopefully your eyes, your heart and your soul will be open to God's Truth. If we do not see His Truth and why He sent His Only Begotten Son to die for the sins of the world, then we wander in darkness.
Jesus came that we Might have Life, and have it more abundantly through Jesus Christ who is the propitiator for our sins; who goes before the Throne of God, laying down our requests before the Altar of A Holy God. But it Is a Choice...Along with the Holy Spirit leading, guiding and comforting us through this life. God created Life and not Death...
I Pray that you Choose Life this day forward.....

An outstanding movie that was good at being truthful, but healing. The most powerful thing is that the actress who plays the biological mother who tried to abort her daughter actually had an abortion in real life. She said that she there was no need to act, it was so real for her. One of the best I have seen in years. Very positive.

Raymond! Don't let out the surprise at the end! That's an amazing witness!

How is that letting out the ending. The whole movie is about the girl meeting her mother. She does . I said that she didn't need to act. I didnt say what she is acting.

To all those haters out there, I don't remember one single time in the movie where it said "Don't have an abortion! It's the wrong thing to do." The movie said "Abortion happens. So does life. What's more important to you?" Open your eyes a little and realize this movie sends a strong message (one you obviously can't comprehend). It's about forgiving. How would you like to learn your mother not only didn't want you, but tried to kill you? I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure I would feel like I wouldn't want to live anymore, that everyone hated me. Is that what you like to make people feel? Like they don't even want to live anymore? If you said "Yes" your sick and you need to get help because all you haters are basically saying that any abortion survivors don't deserve to live. Do you realize what MIRACLE it is to concieve a baby? Do you know how many millions of things can go wrong within 9 months? And here we are, not even caring. I'm disgusted by our world today.

Amazing that those who believe abortion is good call pro-lifers Nazis. Actually, the Nazis were totally in favor of murdering innocent life. Pro-lifers are about as anti-Nazi as you can get. And they claim to have have superior intelligence. Ha!
