Disney's "Oceans" has absolutely spectacular visual images. You might consider watching it with the sound off, because it's a crime what they did to these images. The script is trite and boring, and they don't always provide enough detail about what you're watching. Where are we and what type of fish or animal are we watching? They say sometimes, but not always.
Listening to it on Blu-Ray at home, the audio engineering was abysmal. The music is generally relatively loud in relationship to the quiet voice, and the levels shift over the course of the movie. I spent the whole movie jumping for the remote-- from "ow, that's loud! You're hurting my ears!" to "what is he saying--I can't hear the narrator?" in seconds.
The images are world class, and with the poor script and sound my kids (ages 5 and 7) and I found it generally enjoyable. But it's definitely a missed opportunity.
