I remembered enjoying this film years ago and found a VHS copy last night at the thrift store. I kept glancing at it all day til I finally gave in and watched it. What a gem. It still holds up after all these years and what a joy to see that sexy, cozy man James Garner. He is just such a great actor and comfortable with himself. Love the guy!! They make a great movie couple and it's a sweet, tender story. I have always liked Sally Fields...She is great in Places in the Heart and Norma Rae. This film stands the test of time as do they. She is feisty and he always seems to be winking with a sly smile. What a fun movie. Enjoy!!
