I can only say that Hollywood does not make films with the quiet grace and subtlety of "Mrs. Miniver." It is impossible NOT to fall in love with every key character in the story, from Garson's superb title performance right down to the adorable children, who will be forever changed by the terrors of war. A must-have for everyone into good film.
