Moneyball(2011)- User Reviews

Interesting film, but not great

star33

I'll start off saying that I am a big Brad Pitt fan and I also LOVE Baseball.

That being said, I watched this movie and thought it was 'okay.'

I do think Pitt is a very good actor who never quite gets the praise he deserves. (Benjamin Button, Meet Joe Black, Legends of the Fall, etc...) However, in this film, he seemed to be lacking something. Maybe it was the director, maybe he just isnt a baseball fan. Not sure. But I didnt see the usual passion he displays. It was like he was going through the motions.

If you're not a Baseball fan, you probably wont enjoy this film. And even if you are, such as myself, you still may not. Being a fan and knowing about Beane's approach, there was nothing new here.

I think the most interesting part of the film was what goes on behind the scenes--dropping players, trading players, etc...

The movie also seemed to drag a bit towards the end. Overall, it was a decent movie, held my interest.

And another thing... when you question and criticize the educational background of a character in a movie 'based on a true story,' make sure your spelling and grammar is above Junior High level as well. You rendered your review of this film (whether one agrees or disagrees with your assessment), irrelevant. Criticizing a character portrayal or the way they were written as not showing the slightest amount of 'intelligents' should be slightly embarrassing for you.

Dude...it is "drivel", not "dribble". This isn't basketball, there is no dribbling anything. Drivel, as in your entire post/review was "drivel". Clear?

Relax Frances. Stop your whining. You sound like a miserable person that needs to comment on useless posts.
