I'm not much of a baseball fan or Pitt fan, but kudos to him for bringing a good story to the screen. Most movies these days seem over the top with either special effects, sophomoric humor, or some extension of a movie from the past that has been regurgitated. I was looking forward to a fresh movie! It doesn't have the sex, language, violence that the other movies have - and - that is a good thing. A great storyline that I don't think took a B. Pitt to deliver, but he did a good job along with Jonas Hill of not overacting the parts. The tale is one of a familiar underdog (Oakland A's) taking on giants with 3x the payroll and how they managed to succeed. It probably won't make you a baseball fan, but will give you some insight into how baseball has changed.
