Wait to see Moneyball when it is a 1.99 movie. My son and I hoped to see a good inspirational baseball movie. This was not one. Moneyball was a real drag- boring. The script was trash, the actors directing was weak. Too many scenes inside offices. This is a behind the scenes baseball movie about money and trading players to put together a team that never does win it all! Mixed with real footage and semi-historical ad-lib, the movie never makes a nice cake- it flops. There are some scenes of the main character with his daughter to give it warmth and in comes across as phoney. Trailers show all the highlights cause there just aren't that many. Should have looked this up on Wikipedia cause the teams outcome was a twenty game winning streak then they lose in the playoffs. A final voice-over concludes that the main character's approach made some small changes in BB management but overall you don't win the pennant with statistics. It was good insight into the real world of BB but it was not inspirational. It says if players keep trying they will be traded regardless of feeling.
