Self Serving Movie Making

I saw this the other night. I was so disappointed. I am shocked that anyone liked this movie. It was written and acted as if Owen Wilson was doing a Woody Allen imitation. It was so predictable. And Rachel McAdam's character was so one dimensional. Yes, we get, she's a total #$%$, and Gil is the poor victim. I so wanted to love this movie. But when you compare it to Woody Allen's early films, I just have to cringe. And it had a fabulous, incredible cast. So much wasted talent. So much potential.

Woody Allen has lost his touch. Or maybe it's been gone for 20 years. His early work was genius. No other film maker would have been able to get this script green lighted. But since it's Woody Allen, he could get a napkin scribble funded.
