Good, but Seriously Doesn't Deserve Oscard Nod.

My boyfriend fell asleep during this movie. He hated it. I liked it, but thought it was definitely a Woody Allen/Quirky and weird movie. Nevertheless, I thought it was fun to watch and entertaining. Different. Rent it, however.

Don't waste your money seeing it in the movie theatre. Why it got an Oscar nod is beyong me? Oscars are getting desperate.

Acting was ok. I like Owen Wilson, and I liked the characters. Didn't think anything else about the movie was worthy of note, but Woody Allen will probably win something because Hollywood seems to love this guy.

    I am not a fan of Woody Allen. That said this movie was a delightful surprise. I was hooked at the beginning by the music that I didn't want to stop and the cinematography. If you could accept the premise of time travel and and that Paris has magic the movie was a winner. Owen Wilson never ceases to amaze me in his versatility. Loved the music. Bought the soundtrack.

      Paris HAS magic..it happen to me too. almost the SAME neighborhood, across the Seine, right down the str from ND Cathedral..i found myself standing in front of a book store that specializes in Jules Verne books/editions..looked as though it was str8 outta the late 18, early 1900's...weird.
