I am too much of a fan to be objective about Michael Jackson. So I can only present a fan's perspective. It is great to be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at Michael Jackson rehearsing for the concert that never was.
This is not a concert film. MJ is rehearsing so he is saving his voice most of the time we see him "performing." We get to see him interact and direct. We get to imagine how wonderful it would be to be able to perform along side an idol. We get to see his heart. We get to reminisce about his music and how much we will miss him.
I can't imagine that this wouldn't be an interesting movie for a non-fan as well.
