But not this one!
The performances from Smith and Tommy Lee were at best mediocre. Boris the Animal ( Jermaine Clement ) was terrible. The script was appauling. Attempts at 'fresh' humour fell well short of any audible reaction from the auditorium audience during my viewing. The films younger target audience found themselves being easily distracted from the screen by such wonders as counting 'Haribo' sweets, flicking siblings and flatulating loudly ( securing a ten fold increase in laughter from many!!) . To fail to hold the interest of younger viewers past the half hour mark, MIB 3, in my opinion at least, clearly catagorises it as a resounding flop.
3D resolution was absolutely dismal. Colours were flat and little depth to the vast majority of the movie was experienced by myself and many of those I spoke to after.
I have enjoyed previous MIB installments and had high expectations of this one---only to be let down.
There is one notable positive to come from the wasted time and considerable expense ---the performance of Josh Brolin. He was a better K than ...er...well than Tommy Lee as K!!! He was sharp, believable and clearly able to naturally lend himself to the character and voice. Absolutely 1st class performance.
My advice is save your pennies and wait for the DVD release if you really want to see it.
If you haven't seen Avengers yet though......forget MIB and see that.
